How do payments work when I hire someone?

When you hire a Tasker, alt. charges the offer price plus any connection fee using your selected payment method (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and other methods available in Australia such as Afterpay or Zip where enabled).

Your payment is held securely until you're happy with the work — it is not released to the Tasker at hire time.

After the Tasker taps I'm done, you review the work and tap Pay them to release the funds. Tips are optional and have no platform fee.
